Stellantis Rally Trophy crews star on the Jim Clark

Round two of the 2026 Stellantis Rally Trophy UK took crews to the iconic Borders Competitions Jim Clark Rally as part of the Motorsport UK British Rally Championship, with the fast and flowing closed roads of the Scottish Borders providing a spectacular backdrop for another fiercely competitive contest in the Rally4 ranks.

Based in Duns, the event delivered almost 95 competitive stage miles across two demanding days, with Friday evening’s stages immediately setting the tone for a close-fought battle among the Junior BRC and BRC4 contenders.

Among the standout performers were Stellantis Rally Trophy UK crews Luke Constantine and Ifan Devine, who delivered an impressive and composed drive aboard their Opel Corsa Rally4 to claim top honours among the Trophy contenders and secure second overall in the Junior British Rally Championship standings.

Constantine remained firmly in contention throughout the rally and mounted a determined late charge across Saturday’s stages as the battle at the front intensified. Consistent pace across the high-speed asphalt tests ensured the pair emerged as the leading Stellantis crew by the finish in Duns.

Ross Hunter impressed on his BRC4 debut, pushing hard throughout the rally and leading the Trophy contenders after the opening day. Constantine retaliated early on Saturday but would then fall back behind Hunter with two stages remaining. The Scot would then be swallowed up by the Corsa driver, narrowly missing out on his maiden Stellantis win, claiming a podium finish in the category after an assured performance on only his first appearance at this level.

Sam Mason and James Seymour continued their encouraging start to the season by securing another strong result, rounding out the Trophy podium places after a consistent performance in their Peugeot 208 Rally4.

Charlie Mathewson and Josh Carr secured fourth on their asphalt debut in the car, with James Lightfoot and Chris Pattison taking fifth spot, ahead of Riley Chester and Robbie Sandford who suffered a sizeable roll on the opening stage, but recovered to make the finish under super rally.

Sadly, Callum Atkinson and Nikki Addison ended their Friday night in a Borders wall, only returning on the last loop on Saturday but were not classified as finishers.

Constantine and Devine now lead the standings by 7 points from Mason, with Chester and Mathewson giving chase.

The Jim Clark Rally once again highlighted the depth of talent within the Stellantis Rally Trophy UK field, with close competition, strong pace highlighting the championship’s status as one of the most exciting proving grounds for emerging rally talent in the UK. Attention now turns to the next round of the series, the Grampian Forest Rally in August as the fight for championship honours continues to intensify.
