The Carlisle Stages Rally has been added to the 2025 Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup IRE & UK calendar, replacing the cancelled Severn Valley Stages. Scheduled for 12 April, the Carlisle-based event will serve as the second round of the season, ensuring minimal disruption to competitors’ plans.
With this addition, the Cup maintains its planned eight-round format, preserving the high level of competition and excitement that teams, stakeholders, and rally fans eagerly anticipate each season.
Organised and promoted by the Roger Albert Clark Rally Motor Club, the Carlisle Stages seamlessly integrates into the existing championship schedule. Renowned for its demanding stages in the legendary Kielder Forest complex, the event presents a formidable challenge with its fast, technical, and ditch-lined gravel tests across the English and Scottish Borders—terrain that has long been the battleground for thrilling championship fights.
The rally replaces the Severn Valley Stages, which was cancelled due to damage caused by Storm Darragh in Natural Resources Wales-managed forests. Now shifting from its traditional October date, the Carlisle Stages will run as a compact one-day event, featuring 50 miles of competitive action through iconic stages such as Kershope and Ash Park. The rally will conclude with scenic finish celebrations in front of the picturesque Kielder Castle.
By securing its place in the calendar, the Carlisle Stages Rally ensures the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup retains its planned eight-round balance between gravel and asphalt events, delivering another exhilarating season of competition.
